Cynthia is a native Arkansan who joined her parents in Hot Springs in 2019. She is a wife, mom of two grown boys, a lovely bonus daughter and four grandchildren whom she absolutely adores. Early in her young adult years, Cynthia was a florist for over 14 years where she let her creativity flow. After a family move, she chose to step away from flowers to raise her boys while doing bookkeeping for her extended family's business. However, after 18 years away from a creative outlet she longed to find a way to channel that energy. One day, her son and daughter-in-law gifted her a Hammer & Stain gift certificate in the state in which they live, and she quickly realized a DIY studio needed to be in Hot Springs. Now, Cynthia has a creative outlet for herself all the while providing residents and visitors alike an avenue to gather, laugh, and create at her own studio where many have said, "we came in as a stranger and left as friends".
Apart from encouraging and helping makers in the studio, Cynthia enjoys time with her husband Boyd and their dog Gimli, her family, traveling, hiking, playing on the lake and spending time on her deck enjoying God’s beautiful, artistic sunsets.
